QRP Transceiver Kit:

I'm built a QRP transceiver from a kit:  The Small Wonder Labs SW+40 to be precise.

Some comments on this construction project made it into the November 2002 Baltimore Amateur Radio Club (BARC) Newsletter, The Modulator

Here is a picture of the circuit board:

Completed Small Wonder Labs - SW+40 QRP Transceiver Kit:

This rig was tested and tuned on October 4, 2002 by WA3SKQ.  He was able to make two QSO's with K1NAJ , Norway, ME and W4QN, Jupiter, FL.

It's putting out about 2.5 watts of power.

This is the rig we're using to teach a group of Venture Crew Scouts about Amateur Radio.  We hope to have one or more of the Scout Rigs operating for the Jamboree on the Air event, October 19th and 20th.

Dave Benson of Small Wonder Labs has been absolutely great in helping us work with the Scouts.  Thank you Dave!
